- Wynn Lobby – Visit the Wynn to see the Floral Carousel and Hot Air Balloon in the lobby. Be sure to look down to see the elaborate inlaid tile designs in the white marble floor.
- Lake of Dreams at Wynn – Wynn’s signature water attraction that boasts 5,500 LED lights and a 90-foot waterfall runs nightly every half hour beginning at dusk.
- Palazzo – Wander the two-story waterfall atrium and garden inside the Palazzo.
- Venetian – As you walk into the Venetian, look up to see the painted ceilings that is reminiscent of the ceilings in the Vatican. Walk along the Grand Canal Shoppes and observe people taking gondola rides in the indoor waterway.
- Carnaval Court – Live bands and DJs perform at the open-air venue throughout the day and night near Harrah’s.
- The Linq Promenade – Stroll along the Promenade located in the alleyway between The Linq and Flamingo hotels. Check out the High Roller, the world’s tallest observation wheel.
- Flamingo Wildlife Habitat – Gaze at the Chilean flamingos at the outdoor wildlife habitat that is open daily from dawn to dusk. Other animals living in the habitat include Ring Teal ducks, Sacred Ibis, brown pelicans, swans, ducks, koi fish, and turtles.
- Grand Bazaar Shops – Located in front of Bally’s is an open-air shopping center with various unique stores.
- Paris – See the Eiffel Tower replica in front of the Paris hotel and casino. Step inside the casino and be transported to a night in Paris with the night sky painted on the ceiling.
- Miracle Mile Shops – Inside Planet Hollywood, the Miracle Mile Shops circle the casino.
- Coca-Cola Store – Go inside the two-story Coca-Cola store to see all the Coca-Cola merchandise. Snap a picture with the Coca-Cola polar bear.
- M&M Store – Check out the 4-level M&M store and the rainbow wall of colored of M&Ms. Also see the M&M Nascar replica car.
- CBS Television Research Center – If you have ever wanted to screen future television shows and critique them, you can do so at the CBS Television Research Center in the MGM Resort. Screenings are open daily 9am – 6pm.
- KA 360 by Cirque du Soleil – Get a close-up look at how the KA production team created its jaw-dropping shows. Open Tuesdays at 11am and 11:30am and Saturdays at 12pm and 12:30 pm.
- Luxor Sphinx and Pyramid – Head to Luxor to see the replica Sphinx, which is actually larger than the original Sphinx. Observe the pyramid, which was modeled after the Great Pyramid of Giza. The light beam that shines from the pyramid’s point is the strongest beam of light in the world.
- Luxor Gaming Lessons – Luxor offers free Craps, Black Jack, and Roulette lessons daily at noon.
- Excalibur Gaming Lessons – If Craps, Black Jack, and Roulette aren’t your thing, the Excalibur offers free Poker lessons daily at noon.
- New York, New York – Feel like you’re in New York City with the replica NYC icons like Statue of Liberty, Brooklyn Bridge, and NYC skyline. Watch The Big Apple Coaster as it flies inside and outside the hotel. Inside the casino and hotel, you feel like you are walking along the dingy streets of New York City at dusk.
- Hershey Chocolate World – Located inside New York, New York is the Hershey Chocolate World where you can buy all kinds of Hershey candies. Also, visit the bakery on the first floor to check out goodies made with Hershey chocolate.
- ARIA Fine Art Collection – Get a complimentary walking tour of the ARIA Fine Art Collection featuring work by acclaimed sculptors, painters, and installation artists.
- Chandelier Bar – You have to go inside the Cosmopolitan and see the 3-level bar that is surrounded by a curtain of stunning crystals and shimmering lights.
- Fountains of Bellagio – In front of the Bellagio, watch the dancing water fountains to popular songs. M-F: 3pm-7pm, every 30 minutes and 7pm-12am, every 15 minutes; Sat. and holidays: 12pm-7pm, every 30 minutes and 7pm-12am, every 15 minutes; Sun: 11am-2:30pm, every 15 minutes, 2:30pm-7pm, every 30 minutes and 7pm-12am, every 15 minutes.
- Bellagio Conservatory and Botanical Gardens – This 14,000-sqft garden is a must-see. The Bellagio horticulturists change the theme of the floral masterpiece each season and for Chinese New Year.
- Caesar’s Palace – Walk the Forum Shops in Caesar’s Palace and marvel at the Roman columns and statues throughout the hotel and casino. See the “Fall of Atlantis” show complete with talking statues. This 10-minute show starts every hour, on the hour beginning at 12pm but is closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
- Gilley’s – Learn to line dance with complimentary lessons at Gilley’s in front of Treasure Island weekdays at 7pm.
- Circus Circus – Every hour beginning at 11:30am on Fridays and Saturdays and 1:30pm other days, enjoy a free circus act at Circus Circus. See the schedule to see what acts are when.
- Fremont Street Experience – Head downtown to Fremont Street to see old Vegas. The Fremont Street Experience boasts many activities including free street concerts.
- Viva Vision – Above Fremont Street, watch the Viva Vision light show set to hit songs on the world’s largest screen which is 1,375 feet long suspended 90 feet in the air. The show starts every hour from 6pm to 2am.
- Vegas Vic – While on Fremont Street, find Vegas Vic, the iconic neon cowboy sign.
- Hand of Faith – Go inside the Golden Nugget to witness the “Hand of Faith,” the largest golden nugget in the world measuring 61 pounds.
- Million Dollars at Binion’s – Inside Binion’s, you can pose with a million dollars displayed in a pyramid stack. Binion’s will gift you a 6×8 photo with the million dollars.
- Pawn Stars – Are you a Pawn Stars fan? If so, shop inside Gold and Silver Pawn Shop where the reality show is based.
- Drinks in Casinos – If you are gambling at a table or slot machine, casinos will offer you complimentary alcoholic beverages. Although it may be cheaper to just buy your drink than spend money gambling. Make sure to tip your server.
- Drinks at Bars/Nightclubs – As the sun begins to set, you’ll notice promoters offering you free admission or drinks for certain bars or nightclubs. Do not blow them off! There is rarely a catch to these freebies. They are just trying to entice you to come into their establishment so you will spend money on more drinks. However, you are not obligated to do so.
- Swimming Pools – Spend time at the pool at your hotel for some free fun! Also check out other Vegas hotel pools. Some will let you enter with little to no charge even if you are not staying at their hotel.
- Wedding Chapels – Just because you do not plan to get married in Vegas, doesn’t mean you can’t check out the wedding chapels. Most hotel elevator signs will tell you what floor the wedding chapels are located. Follow the signs and admission is free!
- People Watching – A favorite pastime of mine is people watching, and Vegas is a prime location for this! Find a place to sit down and watch the craziness ensue.
- Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas Sign – If you want to have your picture taken with the iconic “Welcome to Vegas” sign, you will need to drive there. Go early because this sight get crowded and a long line forms.
- Hoover Dam – While you’re in your car, drive to Hoover Dam to see this engineering marvel. It does cost to take a tour of the dam, but you can park and walk across the dam at no cost.
- Mike O’Callaghan-Pat Tillman Memorial Bridge – Follow signs to the Boulder Dam Bridge parking. From here, enjoy a short walk from the parking lot across the Mike O’Callaghan-Pat Tillman Memorial Bridge for the best aerial views of Hoover Dam.
